Stone Bridge at Night
This bridge has been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl.
On the other side of the bridge is a wading pool, that I did not show in the drawing, where I played on many summer days as a child. As I grew older the bridge was a nice place to take a walk with a date on a weekend afternoon. As an adult, I took my own kids here to play and have often gone here just to sit and ponder.
The original sketch was given as a gift to my dear friend Ben Stivers.
This same bridge graced the front of my first set of homemade Christmas cards to family and friends in 1997. Making this the first in a series, and the beginning of what I hope will become a yearly tradition.
