Angel, an Early Try

This was a poor attempt at wings...what was I thinking? I tried it without a picture to go by and decided I needed to find a picture of wings. Once I found the perfect wings, drawing them was much easier. So much for visions in my head. Notice also, the long straight hair on this one. That came straight from my school portrait. I think I was able to improve on it somewhat by giving her a more flowing look to her locks on the final sketch. I also removed the cross. There were questions as to why it hung so provocatively on her curvaceous figure. Honestly, I am not sure why...that is just the direction my pencil took at that time. There was no significance to that whatsoever.
