My First Painting
A year ago I bought Donna Dewberry's "Folk Art One Stroke" painting kit off of QVC. It has sat in the box all this time.
The other day,  my sister-in-law, who paints beautifully on wood, asked me to take a "One Stroke Technique" painting class with her at the local Hobby Lobby.  I thought that attending a class might motivate me to use my kit.   It was a lot of fun.  We were suppose to paint birdhouses and wildflowers on a white mailbox but I was not brave enough to paint on my mailbox.  I painted this first try on a sheet of wax paper.  Maybe after a little practice, I will complete the mailbox project.  This was my first try at using
paint.  It was fun but I still prefer simple pencil sketching.  I don't think I am ready to trade my pencils in for
paint brushes.

Below you will find a link to the Artist that taught the class I attended.  If you are interested in seeing how  "Folk Art One Stroke" paintings are suppose to really  look, check out her website.
